Our latest trip to the ER

OK.....now it's my chance to post. Didn't have anything exciting to post (unless you all want to see the ceiling fan I installed and wired all by myself! And I don't mean putting up a fan where there was existing wiring...I mean cutting the hole in the ceiling running Romax from another junction box and wiring the fan.....I am sooo good).

Anyway, here is our latest trip to the Emergency Room. Cooper is winning so far. He has logged 3 trips, Cameron 2, and Ashleigh 0! This is his second set of stitches. Dad...where are you when I need you.....................

Apparently he and his sisters were playing indoor stick ball (strictly forbidden!) using a metal broom. I guess he got a little too close to the bat. Not quite sure how they were playing stick ball since they were in the playroom at John's house and it's only 9'x12' and that's without furniture. Do you think he learned a lesson.............nah!

OK, I'll post something....

since nobody else is posting lately, i guess i'll have to bore youse guys again with yet some MORE riding pictures! I have discovered the "shangri-la" of riding areas here in WA.,and it only took me 25 years of riding out here to find. its in the Gifford Pinchot national forest way south of me and much closer to Portland than Seattle. probably a good 4 hour drive but unbelievably worth it. one of the attached pictures shows a gps route laid onto a topo map of exactly where we rode. the outline copies a 43 mile ride that we went on a couple weeks ago. the area is smack in the middle of volcano country where you are surrounded by mount rainier,mt. adams, mt st. helens, and mt. hood as well as goat rocks wilderness.....absolutely awesome views since adams is 6 miles away and we ride up to 6000 ft for unreal views. This is why we ride eh??

Frank +Joe

Last week got to ride with bro' Frank. I was hitting Taneum creek ( mountain riding south of cle elum/ ellensburg) and invited him to get out and ride. it was the day of the annual bbq that the cle elum rangers throw for volunteer trail workers, so of course i was there. Frank and i rode with 4 other guys, but after a while we were so far ahead of them and stopping to wait too much that we just kept going kinda' on our own. it was perfect riding weather and clear as coud be, so the views were beautiful. got a couple pictures along the way. afterward, i joined a bunch of my riding buddies at the bbq and had an excellent time.
