Our latest trip to the ER

OK.....now it's my chance to post. Didn't have anything exciting to post (unless you all want to see the ceiling fan I installed and wired all by myself! And I don't mean putting up a fan where there was existing wiring...I mean cutting the hole in the ceiling running Romax from another junction box and wiring the fan.....I am sooo good).

Anyway, here is our latest trip to the Emergency Room. Cooper is winning so far. He has logged 3 trips, Cameron 2, and Ashleigh 0! This is his second set of stitches. Dad...where are you when I need you.....................

Apparently he and his sisters were playing indoor stick ball (strictly forbidden!) using a metal broom. I guess he got a little too close to the bat. Not quite sure how they were playing stick ball since they were in the playroom at John's house and it's only 9'x12' and that's without furniture. Do you think he learned a lesson.............nah!

Just be thankful it was his eyelid and not the eye itself. Hopefully this is his worst medical problem in his life. He should have as beautiful black eye in another day. Love, DAD

Let's see.....I've had stitches to my forehead, broke my nose and my leg. I have a scar on my forehead from a huge cut when I flipped over the handlebars of mom's bike. I've had 2 c-sections and an abdominoplasty. Who can top that?

Ok Maria...you are winning for now but wait until Lauren chimes in. I'm pretty sure she can give you a run for your money. Enjoy the crown while you can...I don't think you will be wearing it for long.

Geeze, guys i dont even want to get into this one. i have been really healthy except one bad year ;) what is weird/good is with all my dirtbiking and skiing and all, i have only had a broken collar bone and outside of very minor surgeries ( 2?) during cancer episode i have only had 2 stitches from the aforementioned eye injury! heck, until 2003 i had not even had a single prescription in the previous 20 years!

Ok Ok you know I have to comment here - most of my injuries growing up had to do with the fact that I am the one in between the boys! Broken arm, cracked skull, many stitches, broken ribs (I did that at the gym) elbow in the mouth at a basketball game, car accident with Matt (not my fault) a severly injured back that had me in the hospital in traction a few times, hmmm bike accident while training for a duathlon, broken tailbone a few times and a big fat shiner from a softball and a couple of broken fingers. those are only the ones I remember off the top of my head!
