"Hurricane" in Seattle
Well, im sending this from the library as we have no cable/internet. we had 69 mph winds through here last thursday and over 1 million lost power. trees down everywhere. i talked to frank and they are still out of power, so they are roughing it in his trailer ( all the comforts of home with a generator too). havent talked to karen, but left a message, but i heard they are ok. we lost power for 1/2 day and i had none t work for the last 2 1/2 days. not fun, flashlights and hand written receipts at the store the weekend before christmas! here are some pictures of our yard...what a mess! a tree even landed on the motorhome but the branches spread out the load and joey and i carefully cut it off at 5am friday ( i thought we would need it to stay in too for a while!

As long as all of you are safe, the debris can be cleared away and the power restored. It has been in the high 70's and low 80's here in Texas and as always we need rain.

Joe, Mom has been keeping me posted. I can remember having similar damage when I lived in Hackettstown. Heavy rains and the hurricane like winds that ensue. Thankfully you are all ok and hoefully by now you have power back. Ahhhhh just like camping huh - start a fire outside (better yet get the gas grill going) nothing like eggs on the grill!
Lauren...we got power back friday afternoon, but were prepared as we could have "moved into" the motorhome in the driveway, as it has battery power, generator power, water, fridge, heat etc. Frank is doing just that in his trailer.

I'm glad that ALL of my family is safe out there... I remember when Seattle was shut down for the 3days do to that bad winter snow storm... Now that wasn't fun...
