Track Athlete of the Week

Briana Feldhaus of Randolph came back from a "garbage time" in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles to win the event. The Rams junior hit the second hurdle and almost fell during qualifying, yet still had the second seed in the final. Feldhaus concentrated on defeating Columbia senior Tracey Fan Fan, who had come out ahead in the 100 meters on Tuesday.

"I had to buckle down and get it done," Feldhaus said. "It was like, 'All right, I know I can do it." But that (prelim) time was so bad."

Feldhaus anchored a pair of Randolph victories at the Morris County Relays over the weekend. Feldhaus closed out the shuttle hurdles (1:05.65), as well as out-leaning Parsippany to claim the 4x100 on Friday. The junior was part of the Rams' sixth-place 4x200 on Saturday. The sprinter also extended herself to the 4x400, which clinched the team title for Randolph.
