Hurdler of the year: Junior Briana Feldhaus ran 8.30 to place third over the barriers at the Meet of Champions, placed fourth in 8.42 at the Eastern States Championships, fourth in 8.46 at the state Group 4 meet and second in 8.55 in North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4.
Feldhaus also won the hurdles title at the Morris County Championships in 8.63, the Iron Division of the Iron Hills Conference Championships in 8.70, and anchored Randolph's shuttle-hurdles team that ran a Morris County-record 32.75 to finish first at the state Group 4 meet. The former record of 32.83 was set by Randolph in 2004.
