Fires in California Update

Hi All,
I thank all of you that called to see if we are OK in california. I smelled the fires as early as Sunday afternoon and they are creeping up north. As of today they are about 60 miles from Matt and 75 miles from Me. As of today (thursday) we have not been evacuated and the winds have died down so they can attack and contain.
It is a very sad atmosphere here and I will post more as the news becomes available. Keep us in your prayers!

Mountain RIDE!!

I went on a world class, epic dirtbike ride ( what else for me?) with 8 of my buddies into the most beautiful mountain setting on earth ( that allows access to our bikes of course) last week. we went to gifford pinchot national forest that is around a 4 hr drive southeast for me. located 30 miles east of mt. st. helens and 20 miles south of rainier. what you MUST do is click onto the link i have at the end of this note and check out the story and pictures posted on thumpertalk website of the ride. scroll through all of the pages as another buddy posted a second set of pictures too. people from all over the country "tune in" to the ride reports posted by my friend nick nelson ( a minister from central wa.). i was completely exhausted from the 79 mile ride as we usually average 40 something. i left the house at 430 am and returned at 10pm.

Ethan goes camping

Deb and I took Ethan camping in the motorhome last week for his first "camping trip". he has wanted to go with us somewhere for a long time. we went to a spot i usually camp and ride at and he had a really fun time. riding with grandma on her scooter was his favorite thing to do as well as tend the campfire.
