Another shot of the guys jamming with Joey.

Well, after taking FIRST PLACE at their high school talent show, Joey and his band ( stone gray) moved on to the district show tonight, and took THIRD place!! not bad for their second ever performance in front of an audience. they were awesome! He also wrote the songs they played. oh yeah...remember, they are two fifteen yr. old sophomores and a 13 yr old 8th grader....sheesh!

Working on the House

Well - remember the reunion party at the house - here are some pictures of the construction going on. I gave Matthew artistic freedom to design a new deck, and waterfall. I am having a contractor do the deck and Matt and I will build the waterfall. It will be tiled over the back (we have not picked out that tile yet!)
We have a chimenea for the deck when it is done. Iam so excited :-)

my first BLOG to the family

Well thanks to Joe for welcoming me to the BLOG so that the entire family can share pictures, stories, and keep connected.
Easter in Long Beach - We are one of the top 10 cities in the country for being Pet friendly and on Easter - we had a doggie easter parade. Here are pictures of Princess Harley and Prince Davidson right before the parade.

Kirsten met up with a friend at the 100 too.

All dirty and tired from the long ride. I'm sure he has big plans for next year.

Joey and cousin Justin wait at the riders meeting before the start. picture 850+ racers all lined up in a long line and a shotgun start. gun sounds, run to the bike and start it and you're off! 48 mile course through the rocky , hilly desert that includes a river crossing. joey ran in the 15 and under class ( one lap) and justin was in the overall 250 class ( 2 laps, 96 miles). needless to say, they were both disappointed as joey got a rear flat 20 miles in, and justin had both tires flat but still finished the first lap.

Here is Joey just before the start of the desert 100 race. he used a borrowed 450 that was totally set up for the desert run.

kirsten at the desert 100

Monday, April 03, 2006

Yesterday, Joey and I went to saddle mtn. in central wa. to get in some open desert riding. he is going to run the desert 100 race next week and we borrowed a larger 450 bike for it so he needed a practice run. here he is sitting at the top of a butte overlooking a vast area. pretty high up there!
